December is here! This is my favorite time of the year! I love the spirit and giving of the holidays and I love celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. I may not be quite as excited as Buddy the Elf, but I do love everything about the holiday season!

I may have decked my halls a week early. For those of you who are against pre-thanksgiving decorations it we don’t need to argue but I love the spirit that fills your home when you focus on the Savior and his birth and how you can serve those around you. Its about being grateful and giving all season, which is something we both can agree on right!?!

I don’t know about you but I consider Halloween the start of the holidays. Between October 31 and January 1 we have so much going on! There is Halloween, my birthday, Little W’s birthday, Thanksgiving, family parities, work parties, and before you know it Christmas is here. I’ve looked at the calendar and in those 2 months we literally only have one open weekend. So I’ve spent this week Christmas shopping and making our Christmas cards! Already the days are filling up and I’m wanting to slow down and enjoy the holidays and its only December 1st!

To help slow it down this year and make a more Christ centered Christmas I decided to assemble an easy list of 25 activities that we can do as a family to help us remember the true meaning of Christmas – Jesus Christ.

A lot of these ideas are something you can do in less than 10 minutes but they will invite the spirit of Christ into your home.

I’m already looking forward to completing the items on this list. No longer will we wonder ‘what should we do tonight’ and come December 24th I won’t be saying ‘where did the month go?’. Ok I’ll actually still wonder where the month went. If I had it my way we would celebrate Christmas all winter long!

Take a look at this easy list to help you bring the spirit into your home this holiday season!

Here’s a little about me: I usually don’t buy things that I could make. I like to read and learn. I have dreams of being a mom, living in foreign countries, and trying new things. I take a ton of pictures. I collect rocks from the places I’ve been. I’m trying to learn French. I like to eat. I’m a Mormon.
