My due date is fast approaching! I’m 33 weeks and feel like time is flying. Its a strange feeling because I wish time would hurry so that I could meet this little guy and have him here already, but I also wish I could be pregnant for another 20 weeks and slow time down because I know once he is here he will just keep growing and growing. My belly continues to grow and I continue to outgrow all of my clothes. My sister bought me 4 maternity shirts a few months ago but so far that is the only “pregnant” clothes I have bought. Needless to say I’m starting to get a little limited in what I can wear, and wear comfortably. I’ve mastered hooking the button on my pants shut with a hair elastic and I’m looking forward to colder weather because it will give me a few more things to wear. I’m holding out because I keep telling myself it’s just a few more weeks. I might end up wearing just leggings as pants, something I swore I’d never do.
I still feel really good and count myself lucky. This pregnancy has been wonderful. I feel our little guy move more and more. I love to feel his kicks. He sure likes to move and I will miss that feeling. I don’t crave anything different than my usual cravings for ice-cream or chips and salsa. But man can I sleep. I can easily sleep 7-8 hours a night and have a nap. I try and go to the gym 4 times a week. I ran 3 miles until I was 30 weeks. I now just do the elliptical. We feel extremely blessed and so far everything is going great!
About 3 weeks ago my family threw a baby shower for us. It was wonderful and they definitely spoiled us! Not to mention the love and support (and gifts) from everyone! We couldn’t feel more blessed and we know our son will be loved and adored. Here are a few snap shot’s from the shower. I have a lot more (and better quality) pictures on my camera, but these are just off my phone. It was so great to see everyone and we really feel so blessed.
Look at how cute it is!! They really spoiled me and our little guy!
Beginning of the gift pile.
Cute little diaper-cycles!
I have a love for fruit (that may be an understatement),but I had a hard time eating this cute little thing!
They thought of everything down to the last detail, like napkin bow-ties on the forks
We also have made a big effort this month to put the nursery together. The photos make the room look awesome (and it IS) but don’t be fooled, our little guy will have to share his room with my sewing table, which I conveniently left out of the pictures. After much searching we realized it is nearly impossible to buy things in the store. I thought that was the whole reason we had stores, but go figure. We ended up ordering our crib online from Amazon, I made the sheets and bed skirt. The dresser and car rug are from Ikea, and the rocking horse (also Ikea) was a refurbish that I bought for $5. The art work we made ourselves! I love how it has come together! It is a good thing we didn’t start setting it up until a couple of weeks ago because now I can’t wait! We have just a few more things and need to decide on a name and we will be ready!

The crib, well stocked with diapers under it
The city art work my sister did for us. I had the idea and she made it happen. Isn’t it perfect!?!
A little artwork from Go Dogs Go
We could not be more excited for our little guy to get here. Because it is now October I can even say that he will get here next month! Can you believe that?!?! We are so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait. Thank you all for your love and support!
