Happy Friday everyone. I hope you all have had a good week! I know it seems like forever since I’ve posted anything. The week just flew by. I’ve been working on a lot of behind the scenes things on the blog. I know that you probably can’t see most of it from your side of the screen but it is clearing things up and making it a lot nicer on my end. Also I started an instagram for the blog so feel free to check it out and give me a follow @nurturecultivatecreate.

So I thought I would quick share one of my favorite summer drinks to kick of the weekend. I mean super quick and super easy. Do you have any big plans for the weekend? We plan to take it easy, maybe go for a hike.  We are hoping to hit the pool and take Little W out for his first swim. In honor of sun and pools I think this drink is the perfect way to welcome in the weekend.

I first had this drink at a wedding reception. So you can trust that if its good enough to serve on the most important day of your life, its good enough for you on a Friday. It is refreshing and a nice twist to a soda. Don’t be afraid of a little leaf floating around in your drink. If that does scare you put all of the ingredients in a large pitcher so you get the benefits of the blackberries and mint, but don’t have them floating around in your individual glass.

Mr M and I can drink more than our share of this stuff when we have it. So whether you are looking for something to serve for a party or gathering or just want something to sip on yourself this is an easy go-to drink! Welcome weekend!

Yield:  6-8

Time: 5 minutes

  • 2 Liters Fresca
  • 1 c blackberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 c mint leaves
  • ice

  • Step 1

Divide the ice and blackberries among the glasses. Wash mint leaves and remove stem. I like to give the leaves a little crunch before adding them to the glasses. This makes the mint flavor a little more powerful.

Pour cool Fresca over and serve.

Isn’t dinner on the patio with this refreshing drink just the perfect way to start a weekend? I definitely think so!

Looking for a way to save a little money? Trying growing mint in a little pot on your windowsill. Then this drink is always only a sip away!

Here’s a little about me: I usually don’t buy things that I could make. I like to read and learn. I have dreams of being a mom, living in foreign countries, and trying new things. I take a ton of pictures. I collect rocks from the places I’ve been. I’m trying to learn French. I like to eat. I’m a Mormon.
