It has been a while since I’ve had the chance to work on the blog. It is still definitely in the works and probably will continue to be for a while. A lot has happened since March. A whole stinkin’ lot.  I’ll do my best to catch you up on the details, in the order they happened.

The first photo of little Baby M.

Mr M and I will be having a little bundle of joy this November. We are 19 weeks along, which means we find out next week what we are having and we are already half way there! We are so incredibly excited. It has taken a long time for it to feel real. I have just started to feel the little one move around in there, and that’s quite the exciting feeling. As soon as we know whether it’s a boy or a girl, the crafting will commence.

Mr M GRADUATED, and May what a crazy month!

Mr M graduated with 2 degrees in May. He is so smart and I look up to him so much. I am so grateful to have him as my companion. It was a wonderful day.

As for the reason I took time off from the blog, it was a busy month. I was still working at the Pediatric office but I also took a long-term substitute position for a friend/colleague of mine who had a baby. She teaches Adult Roles and Financial Literacy and Foods II. Which meant that everyday I would teach a few classes on how to grow up (finance, insurance, debt, retirement, relationships, family, parenting, and everyday stuff). It’s the class where you take the baby home. It was pretty great. My favorite was teaching the Foods II classes. It was so fun to spend part of everyday in the kitchen. Someday I will go to a cooking school. After I finished at the school (it was part-time) I would head for the pediatric office. Somewhere during this madness we still managed to pack up our house, find a new place to live, and spend some time with family. It was so much fun!

Thanks to Mr M and his hard work in school and many blessings from above, Mr M was able to get a real grown up job. This new job is SWEET, but it did require that we move 90 miles. So the end of May we packed up and moved. It was pretty sad to say goodbye to our first apartment, we loved being so close to family, we loved our friends and neighbors, so it was a heart-felt goodbye

Our first place

It actually went down a bit crazy. In between us working and spending time with family we packed up and cleaned our apartment. Then on May 30th while I was at work Mr M, our families, and our neighbors packed us up and moved us. I joined them after I got off work. We literally hauled a 1,000lb piano and everything we own up to the 3rd floor put it in the living room and shut the door. We didn’t unpack a single box. We headed out the next morning for Lake Powell.

We had an awesome opportunity to spend some time in Lake Powell with Mr M’s family and family friends. We had so much fun. I had never been to Lake Powell, but Mr M’s family is Lake Powell experts. It was so beautiful and so fun. We had no cares in the world and spent every day in the water. Utah is so diverse in it’s beauty and it continues to amaze me. I loved Lake Powell. I also got to go to the edge of the Grand Canyon, cross that off my list of things to do.

A new sport: surfing behind a Jet-ski

However if you do remember, I said that we had not unpacked a single box, so this is what we got home to at 3am.

We spent the week before Mr M started his job unpacking and getting settled. We’ve explored our new area and are starting to find out the things to do around here.

We love our new place and love the area. It’s different than our old home, but we are looking forward to this new adventure, life.

Here’s a little about me: I usually don’t buy things that I could make. I like to read and learn. I have dreams of being a mom, living in foreign countries, and trying new things. I take a ton of pictures. I collect rocks from the places I’ve been. I’m trying to learn French. I like to eat. I’m a Mormon.
