Whole Wheat Muffins
This is a true family recipe. This recipe is one that I got from Jordan’s mother, and it is a recipe she got from the family cookbook. I absolutely love these muffins. I was sure that they were complicated to make because they taste so good, but that definitely is not the case. These muffins are super easy to make, and as far as muffins go, they are pretty healthy for you too.

Yield: 12 muffins

Total Time: 25 minutes

Whole Wheat Muffins


  • 1/2 cup butter ( I usually substitute applesauce to keep it healthy so I can eat more)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt


Whole Wheat Muffins


  • Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cream the first three ingredients (butter, sugar, egg). Add remaining ingredients and stir.

  • Step 2

Spoon batter into lined muffin tin. It should make 12 muffins. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
